Wilmington MS 7th Grade Defeats Nagel Blue 22-12
The Wilmington MS 7th grade FB team defeated Nagel Blue MS (Cincinnati Anderson HS) on Thursday September 2nd by a score of 22-12. The young Hurricanes were in control of the game with a 22-0 lead when two late scores by Nagel made the score appear closer than the game. Scoring offensive touchdowns for the Canes were Jaren Cumberland and Cameron Stewart. They also added an extra point each.
The Wilmington 7th grade shut out Milford on Thursday evening 26-0. The young Hurricanes controlled the game from start to finish and now stand 2-0 on the year. Jaron Cumberland led the way on offense scoring all four touchdowns. Cumberland had 3 rushing and one receiving on a pass from Noah Haines. Cameron Stewart ran in an extra point attempt.
The Wilmington 7th Grade Football Team defeated Kings 34-6 on Thursday. After Kings scored on the first play of the game the young Hurricanes dominated every aspect of the game. Leading the way on offense was Jaron Cumberland with 4 touchdown runs and Dylann Robinson scored the 5th . Cameron Stewart and Marlyn Frisco each scored extra points. Briten Kessler recovered 2 fumbles as the defense shut down the Knights offense. They have outscored their opponents 82-18 and stand 3-0 on the year. The team plays at Glen Este next Thursday beginning at 4:30.
The Wilmington 7th Grade FB team defeated Little Miami 46-0 on Wednesday 9/29. Once again the young Canes were in control from the start of the game. Through 5 games they have outscored their opponents 160-24. Scoring for the Hurricanes this week were: Jaron Cumberland with 3 touchdowns, 2 rushing and 1 on a punt return, Marlyn Frisco, Noah Zurface, and Andrew Davis had a rushing TD each. The extra points were scored on runs by Cumberland, Nathan Schmid, Brady McCune, and two passes from Noah Haines to Alex Miller. The team plays at Nagel Silver (Turpin HS) on Wednesday following the 8th grade game.
On Wednesday the 7th grade team defeated Nagel Silver, Turpin High School’s Middle School, 42-6. The defense led by Austin Thompson, set the tone and intercepted five passes and returned 3 of them for touchdowns. Cameron Stewart had two of the interceptions and returned both for touchdowns. Jarron Cumberland had one which he returned for a touchdown. The other two interceptions were by Austin Thompson and Justin Inwood.
