Jan. 28 - Feb. 3
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is WHS girls bowler Jerrica Guzzi. This past week Jerrica bowled a 412 series at the conference championships to lead the Lady Hurricane to the FAVC Cardinal division title.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is WHS boys bowler AJ Guzzi. Just like his sister, AJ helped lead the Hurricane to the FAVC Cardinal division title by bowling a 416 series at the conference championships.

Jan. 21 - Jan. 27
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is wrestler Christopher Holcomb. Christopher won the 19 team Milford Invitational and was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. This victory raised Christopher's record to 24-3 on the season and raised his current win streak to 14 matches.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is men's basketball player Quinten Rollins. Quinten tallied 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in the Wilmington victory over Amelia.

Jan. 14 - Jan. 20
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is boys basketball player Jordan Berlin. Jordan scored 28 points on 11/17 shooting and also recorded 6 assists in the victory over Turpin.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' athlete of the week is bowler Jerrica Guzzi. Jerrica bowled a 689 series at the FAVC tournament and finished first overall.

Jan. 7 - Jan. 13
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is girls basketball player Julie Earley. This week Julie scored her 1000th point at WHS. Julie also hit a game winning shot against Miami Trace and scored 17 pts to go along with a game winning assist in the victory over Turpin.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is wrestler Chris Holcomb. Chris went 6-1 with 6 pins in the 46 team GMVWA wrestling tournament. The only loss Chris suffered was a 6-4 decision to the projected state runner-up.

Dec. 31 - Jan. 6
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is swimmer Elliot Conti for his major contributions to the team. Elliot currently has the best time in the FAVC for the 50 yard freestyle with a time of :22.20. Elliot is also third overall in the 100 yard freestyle.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is swimmer Rachael Lewis for her success in the pool. Rachael is second in the FAVC for the 50 yard freestyle with a time of :25.93. Rachael also ranks in the top ten for the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle.

The Damon's Athlete of the Week is bowler AJ Guzzi. AJ bowled a 628 series at the Holdiay Tournament and had a 197 average.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is girls basketball player Andrea Gifford. Andrea collected 24 pts, 4 blocks, 13 rebs, and 6 assists this week.

Dec. 3 - Dec. 9
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is wrestler Jeffrey Hodge. Jeffrey went 2-0, leading the team to wins over Winton Woods and Bethel Tate. Jeffrey had a pin and a come from behind victory.
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is senior bowler Miles Juschka. Miles currently holds a 227 average and rolled a 263, 510 series against Milford.

Oct. 14 - Oct. 20
The Buffalo Wild Wings' Athlete of the Week is Chas Wiederhold. Chas has been the starting keeper all year leading the boys soccer team to their best record since 2001, 10-4-1. Last week he led the team in defeating the SCOL champions, Hillsboro 4-3 on Monday, and narrowly lost to the FAVC champions, Turpin 1-0 on Thursday.
The Damon's Athlete of the Week is Jeffrey Hodge for the boys cross country team. Jeffrey finished with a time of 17:08 in the FAVC conference meet equaling his season best. Congratulations to Jeffrey for his performances throughout the fall.

Sept. 30 - Oct. 6
Each Week this fall Damon's Restaurant has sponsored an Athlete of the Week Award for special achievement in helping the team. This week's Damon's Athlete of the Week Award goes to Andrew Merchant. Andrew has played strong defense all year long with his best performance coming last week when he was asked to change positions, to sweeper, and came away with a solid performance. Andrew has helped lead the boys soccer team to a great season, and into the sectional tournament at home on Tuesday night vs. Goshen. Congratulations, Andrew, for being this week's Damon's Athlete of the Week.
Buffalo Wild Wings announced their winner of the Athlete of the Week Award to Tara Bowman. Tara was 25 for 25 in serving, and had 12 digs against Walnut Hills. She also had 14 digs vs. Kings in a heated contest. She has been hitting very consistently from the back row, and is a well rounded contributor for this year's volleyball success. Congratulations, Tara Bowman.

Sept. 23 - Sept. 29
Damon's have selected Persie Bray as their Athlete of the Week for being such a key part of the success of the Girls Soccer team this year. She has played nearly every second of every game at sweeper which is one of the most challenging positions on the field. Her work ethic and toughness on and off the field have shown and she has proved herself as one of the leaders of this year's team.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Athlete of the Week is Phillip Gilmore for his superb performance in the FAVC Tournament Championship. His round of 78 tied him for 3rd with his teamate Jordan Berlin & 1 stroke back of Craig Osterbrock. Phillip's great day saw him shoot 7 strokes better than his 18 hole average, enabling Wilmington to capture the Cardinal Division.

Sept. 16 - Sept. 22
This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Athlete of the Week is Lyz Cox from the girl's golf team. She led the team in the FAVC tournament with a 93 and was named First Team All FAVC (4th in scoring) and followed up shooting a 46 at Jamaica Run in the win over West Carrollton and Valley View. Congratulations to the Girl's Golf team on such a successful year!
This week's Damon's Athlete of the Week is Jordan Berlin of the boy's golf team. He shot 1 under vs. Turpin to lead the team in winning the FAVC matchup, and then shot a 36 the next day vs. Lebanon to claim back to back medalist honors. A big Congratulations goes to the Boy's Golf team for making it past the Sectionals and to the District Tournament where they will be facing the top teams from the Dayton and Cincinnati area. Damon's Athlete of the Week is Senior Molly Hinton. She had a really solid week of game play as well as leading the team in kills and hits in the important win against Little Miami.
This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Athlete of the Week is Senior Michael Lang. Michael leads the team in assists and is one goal away from being tied for the lead in goals. "He is a very good leader on the team and has been working hard all year", says Coach Wiederhold.

This week's Damon's Athlete of the Week is Spencer Smith from the varsity football team. In the loss to Miami Trace Spencer tacked on 3 catched for 34 yards, 1 interception with a 41 yard return, 3 tackles 1 assist, and one kick return for 22 yards.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Athlete of the Week is Jeffrey Hodge from the boys cross country team. At the Miamisburg invitational he placed 10th out of 155 runners with an excellent time of 17:47.

AOTW Aug. 26- Sept. 1
Buffalo Wild Wings Athlete of the Week is girls soccer goalie, Senior, Rita Yoder having 3 shutouts in the first three games of the season, after the team had not had a shutout in the past three years. Her shots saved percentage is an impressive 91%. She is the current defensive leader in the FAVC in all divisions and has helped lead the team to a quality 3-1 start.
Damon's Athlete of the Week Junior Craig Osterbrock opened the first week of the golf season with 18 hole rounds of 75, 71, 74, & 73. He was the tournament medalist at the Lebanon Invitational shooting a 71 out of 108 golfers from 18 teams. He was co runner-up medalist at the FAVC ShootOut also 108 golfers from 18 teams. His current 36.45, 9 hole average, places him in the top spot among all FAVC golfers and ranks him high with the leaders in all of the Dayton & Cincinati area. "His leadership, poise, and dedication go unmatched," says golf coach Tim Martin.
