Ron Sexton is Superintendent of Wilmington City Schools and oversees a district that serves 3,200 students in kindergarten through grade 12 at 5 schools and employs over 350 teachers and other staff.
Mr. Sexton is in his 30th year here in the Wilmington City Schools. He taught at Wilmington High School for 15 years as well as being Head Wrestling Coach. His teams won 6 League Championships and were ranked in the top 10 of the Miami Valley Wrestling Association for 10 consecutive years. For these accomplishments, Mr. Sexton was inducted into the Clinton County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. He also served as Athletic Director at Wilmington High School for 3 years, Assistant Principal 1 year, and Principal for the last 9 years.
Ron and his wife, Tammy, also an educator, have two children, Matt – WCS ’06, a senior at Wilmington College and Carrie, a WCS '08 graduate, is a sophomore at Wilmington College.
