Why is travel important?

What is the Price of the Trip?
$650-680
Why is there a price range for the trip?
The price is based on 110 passengers on the busses. Our transportation fee is based on all seats being used. The trip price will be at it’s lowest when every seat on the bus is filled.
How can I pay for the trip?
Check/Money Order, Credit Card via PayPal (see the band website), or Student band Account
Will fundraisers be available?
Yes, fundraisers are available. Fundraisers will be announced during Band classes at school, on the website and in the electronic Band newsletter, Band Notes. (if you do not currently received Band Notes from me, please request via e-mail)
Is money refundable if my child needs to cancel?
If your child changes their mind, payments will be 100% refunded up until 50 before the trip. From our travel agreement…”Any cancellations made within 50 to 16 days of departure that may be entitled to a refund of recoupable expenses.” Trips cancelled within 15 days of the departure date will forfeit all funds.”
Can Band Members make other transportation arrangements and join the band in Flordia?
No, all traveling Band members and chaperones need to travel together for the entire trip.
Are Grants available?
Yes, SYTA offers grants through our Travel company. The application has to be completed by Mr. Spradlin, please contact him for needed information.
What performing opportunites will occur on the trip?
These will be decided once we know who is going on the trip.
How will roomates be determined?
Students will have the opportunity to sign up in groups of 4 for rooms. Double and Triple rooms are available but the cost of the trip will be increased.
How much luggage can I bring?
1 Carry-on and 1 Suitcase. (Flutes, Clarinets and Oboes are packed in either the carry-on or Suitcase)
Who watches the students' rooms at night?
Private nighttime security is hired exclusivly for our group. They will be on duty every night we are at the hotel.
