An upcoming project, entitled A “Presidential Role” Email is coming soon and you may begin to think about it NOW.

*The overall objective of the assignment is to become more familiar with the various roles our president serves. They include: Head of State, Chief Executive, Chief Legislator, Economic Planner, Party Leader, Chief Diplomat, and Commander-in-Chief.

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ASSIGNEMNT:

(More specific instructions will follow)

  • Read from text or Internet website what each of these roles (duties) involve.
  • Search current news sources (newspapers, Internet, magazines) to detect an example of President Bush’s representation of one of these roles.
  • Share article with a couple of other students and collaborate, discussing opinions on how you believe the president should be evaluated in his performance in that certain role.
  • Construct appropriate email to the president (White House) sharing your thoughts and evaluations, based on the article or news story.
