Study Island - Thursday, December 14, 2006

In addition to the OGT web site that is a great resource for review, you may take advantage of the software program “Study Island” which can also help to prepare you for the OGT. Once you are issued a username & password, all you have to do is simply log on & go to work. You’ll love this interactive program!

Please see Mr. Martin if you are interested. Meanwhile, feel free to visit the information features of the website found at www.studyisland.com to see how and why the program works.

OGT Review - Thursday, December 14, 2006

The OGT will be given to all sophomores in March of 2007. Students must pass all areas of the test in order to receive a diploma. Anything and everything one would like to know about the OGT can be found in this very informative Ohio Department of Education website, including OGT resource guides and practice tests.

Mission Statement

My primary mission in becoming the highest-performing teacher I can be is three-fold…

1) To honor and respect the teaching profession with the utmost dignity and integrity it deserves;

2) To share and exhibit my belief that every child has the potential to learn;

3) To demonstrate strong efforts that will ensure my students leave my classroom with the confidence, knowledge, and problem-solving skills that will enhance their own opportunities and abilities to be productive, caring citizens.

     My mission will necessitate the demonstration of visionary leadership skills.  I will daily challenge my students to believe “good enough is not enough.”  I will establish the most conducive environment possible in which to learn; one which is safe, filled with positive, constructive feedback, and encourages creativity.  In summation, I will wholeheartedly rise to the call of nurturing a young life, full of hopes and dreams, to grow into a happy, responsible adult.
