WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FIRST GRADE
|
|
Students will spend the morning in their homeroom class. The homeroom teacher will be instructing Math, Science and Social Studies.
Literacy instruction (reading, writing, spelling) will take place in the afternoon. Students will be grouped according to academic needs and may have a different teacher for reading.
We are adding a new special class for all students. In addition to P.E., Music, Art and Library, students will also have Computer class. During this time, 1st grade students will be using a web-based reading program called Raz-Kids. |
