WHAT YOU NEED TO9 KNOW ABOUT SECOND GRADE

Upon arrival, students will report to their homeroom then switch for literacy instruction (reading, writing, spelling). Students will be grouped according to academic needs and may have a different teacher for literacy.
Students will spend the afternoon in their homeroom class. The homeroom teacher will be instructing Math, Science, and Social Studies.
We are adding a new special class for all students. In addition to P.E., Music, Art and Library, students will also have Computer class. During this time, 2nd grade students will be using a web-based reading program called Raz-Kids.
