Roy E. Holmes

Roy E Holmes was a superintendent of Wilmington City Schools from 1952 to 1962.    He attended Ohio Northern University and received his degrees from Wilmington College and Ohio State University.  Once retired, he accepted an appointment as Professor of Education at Rio Grande, Ohio.

A pleasant and friendly man, he was thrilled at the prospect of a new school being named for him and the hope of continuing education for generations to come.
