Drive-Thru and Pick-Up Materials

In addition, we will have times where incoming Kindergartens can come, drive-thru and pick up materials to practice with over the summer.  

  • May 12 at 11:00-12:30 at Holmes
  • May 19 at 4:30-6:00 PM Holmes Rescheduled for May 26 from 4:30 to 6:00pm


Kindergarten Transportation Registration

If you child is entering Kindergarten at WCS this Fall and will be riding a school bus, please submit a Transportation Registration 2020-21 form. You will be contacted in early August with details regarding your child's bus route number and pick-up and drop-off times.

Kindergarten Registration 2020-21

WHS Class of 2033
If your child will be 5 years old on or before September 30, 2020 then they are eligible for entrance into Kindergarten at WCS for the 2020-21 school year. 

We may be a little biased, but we think our Kindergarten program is amazing!

During the current school closure: We ask that you call 937-382-7410 regarding Kindergarten enrollment. Please leave a voicemail with your name and phone number. Staff members are monitoring voicemails remotely and will contact you as soon as they are able. 




Required Documents and Immunizations

The following documents are required to register a child in the Wilmington City Schools’ Kindergarten program:

  • Birth Certificate or Passport

  • Social Security Card or copy of 2019 Federal Income Tax return showing child’s Social Security Number

  • Custody Papers (if applicable)

  • Proof of Residency (current utility bill, rental agreement, mortgage closing document – Note: Driver’s License is not acceptable proof of residency).

  • Parent Social Security

  • Parent Driver’s License

  • Immunization Records (copy of immunizations that have been given as of registration day; must also provide complete immunization records which include KDG boosters prior to the first day of school if immunizations not complete at time of registration).

    • 5 doses DPT/DTaP

    • 4 doses Polio

    • 2 doses MMR

    • 3 doses Hepatitis B

    • 2 doses Varicella (chickenpox) or statement from parent or physician indicating date of disease

Who is eligible for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year?

Children who were born on or before September 30, 2015. 

Can I register my student the night of the Kindergarten Orientation?

No. You will register with Janene Dunn at the Central Registration Office, which is located in Wilmington Middle School. Please be sure to take care of all registration steps prior to this event.
