Routes 7 and 32 Information

This is a PROACTIVE COMMUNICATION so that you can prepare for possible adjustments to your child’s pick-up and drop-off times in the event of a severe driver shortage.

In light of the ongoing shortage of bus drivers in Ohio and the increase in driver illness and absences, we have developed contingency plans to avoid closing school due to transportation issues.  If our driver absences reach a critical threshold we will implement a Level 2 Bus Plan that involves select drivers running multiple routes. The Level 2 Bus Plan would impact pick-up and drop-off times for secondary and elementary students that are on Routes 7 and 32.

Please review our Level 2 Bus Plan Information (doc) so that you know what delays could be expected in pick-up and drop-off for your child in the event that we have to use this plan.

Forms

If you need to request a change in your child's transportation address you will need to submit a Change Request Form available on our Transportation Forms Page.

**All transportation changes go into effect on the second school day following the request**

**NEW** Bus Stop Limitations

  • Students will only be permitted one bus stop location for pick-up and one bus stop location for drop-off. Pick-up and drop-off locations must each remain the same 5 days a week.

  • Students will only be permitted to ride on their assigned bus.

  • Any changes to the pick-up or drop-off locations (ie students moves to new address) must be approved by the Transportation Department.

  • The only transportation change able to be made at the school is for the student to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

Face Coverings (Masks)

The CDC Order that remains in effect requires all students and staff to wear an appropriate face covering on the school bus (unless there is a medical reason why they cannot wear a mask and a doctor’s note is on file).  Students who do not have a face covering will be given a disposable mask to wear.  Masks must cover nose & mouth.
