Because our youngest learners are receiving Chromebooks in the next two weeks, Wilmington City Schools is asking parents who do not currently have at-home internet access for their student for learning purposes and who have a financial need to complete the quick application below to receive a HotSpot.

If resources are available, you will be contacted by the autodialer with directions for a date and time for pick-up. Please be sure to pick up the autodialer message when you receive the call so you will not miss important pick-up information.

COVID-19: How to report a student case/diagnosis

Parents are encouraged to notify the school within 24 hours of receiving a positive COVID-19 test result or clinical diagnosis of COVID-19 for their child. Please use one of the following methods to report:

During School Hours: Call your child’s school or the attendance hotline.


After School Hours and Weekends - Use our COVID-19 Case Reporting Form.

NOTE: If your child is in our Virtual Education program (VEd), they are still WCS students and should report COVID-19 cases as they may still be interacting with students through extracurriculars and other activities.
