Introducing HelloHero!
Implementing a Stronger Mental Wellness System for Our Growing Needs
We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership between Wilmington City Schools and HelloHero for the 2025–26 school year—a major step forward for our students! HelloHero is a family-centered community wellness organization that has been supporting students and families since 2017.
Through this partnership, HelloHero will bring mental wellness support directly to our campuses, giving students easier access to care than ever before. Services will include group wellness circles during school hours to build emotional health, one-on-one support for individual needs, and help during times of crisis. This initiative reflects our strong commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for every student.
As an added benefit, families will also have the option to access HelloHero’s Family Wellness Services virtually or through trusted community partners—providing private and secure care when needed.
HelloHero 3-Tiered Wellness Approach
HelloHero’s approach to care is designed to provide effective support on campus during the school day, so students don’t have to miss class—making it easier for both students and busy families. Ultimately, HelloHero’s services are here to give students the support they need to stay engaged and reach their full potential in school. During the summer months, parents can choose to continue services virtually.

Next Steps
Wellness Survey
We need your help so that the District and HelloHero can prioritize needs and create programming to support our students. Parents are encouraged to complete a wellness survey that will be emailed on August 5, 2025.
Consent
Prior to HelloHero supporting your student with group wellness or individualized support, a consent form must be completed. This form only allows the school district to share your child’s name and contact information—it does not guarantee service eligibility. After consent is received, a HelloHero AdCom (Advocate &Companion) will contact you to discuss available services and guide you through each step.
