Summer Meal Options!

We're excited to offer 2 options for summer meals to keep kids going strong.

Option 1: Summer Lunch Program (on-site)

The Wilmington City School District is offering lunch free of charge to all children 18 years and under in the Wilmington community as follows:

  • Meal service will be served Monday through Friday (excluding June 19) from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Wilmington Middle School cafeteria.
  • Children do not have to be enrolled in WCS or on free or reduced meals to receive a lunch free of charge.
  • All meals must be consumed on-site and must meet the National School Lunch Program required components.
  • Each day, three entrees will be offered with fresh fruits and vegetables and two flavors of milk.
  • Adult meals are available for $5.25 .

Please join us this summer to beat the heat and eat some nutritious and delicious food! Adult meals available for $5.25 .

Option 2: Weekly Meal Pick-Up

For our WCS families, parents can opt to participate in the weekly pick up of food items for breakfast and lunch (7 days worth) free of charge instead of the on-site meal (you cannot participate in both).

  • This program is only available to families with a student enrolled in WCS (ages 18 and under).
  • No cost or  application required.
  • The items would be a mix of cold and easily reheatable breakfast and lunch products, with milk and a variety of fruits & vegetables included.
  • Pick-ups would be every Wednesday from 4-6pm during the summer.

If you are interested in this option, use our online form to reserve meals for the summer.
