Growing the Whole Child event

Event Cancelled

Due to the COVID-19 crisis and the closing of Ohio schools, we have canceled the Growing the Whole Child event previously scheduled for April 2, 2020. Please watch our website and facebook page for any updates as move into April.

Growing the Whole Child, A Parent Involvement Opportunity

We invite our Holmes parents, grandparents, and caregivers to join us for an opportunity to connect and learn together as we explore key strategies to grow the whole child. The event, "Growing the Whole Child" will be held at Holmes Elementary on April 2, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

A paper or online RSVP is needed before March 20th so that we can make sure to have enough supplies on hand. Flyers will go home with each Holmes student.

Based on the book "The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind" by Daniel J. Siegel M.D. and Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D., parents will be able to explore learning stations on the following topics:

  • Academics
  • Social Emotional
  • Health & Wellness
  • Problem Solving

This is a great opportunity for parents to learn more about the strategies we use in the classroom and be actively involved in their child's education. We have a great evening planned and hope you'll join us.

  • Each family in attendance will receive a copy of "The Whole-Brain Child" by Daniel J. Siegel!
  • Childcare will be provided for school-aged children, with RSVP by March 20th. (Includes hot dogs, chips, juice)
  • There will be light snacks for adults.
  • Door prize raffle!

We can't wait to see you on the 2nd!
